In today's lecture, we will focus on how hydrogen and oxygen isotope ratios in bird tail feather and butterfly wings are used to reconstruct diet, geographic movement, and migratory patterns. Of particlur interest is that stable isotopes are a powerful tool for determining origins of specific individuals and breeding pairs.
